How I Started...

  • First saw Disc Golf on Local Public Access Show in Santa Cruz
  • First Played at Delaveaga Disc Golf Course with Dad in 1992
  • Given my first disc by Marty Hapner (Pink Roc)
  • Taken to the 1998 Am Worlds in Appleton, WI by 'Steady" Ed Headrick (finished 7th in Juniors <16)
  • Won the 1999 Junior World Championship in Kansas City

My High School Years...

  • Voted "Class Clown"
  • Played 4 year of Basketball for the Knights of Soquel
  • Was Co-Team Captain for the team my Senior year
  • We had an undefeated regular season in my Senior year
  • 2002-2003 Played for the Soquel Disc Golf Team
  • Graduated from Soquel HS in 2003
  • Returned to coach Soquel basketball team from 2004-2009

The 40hr/week world...

  • Attended 2 years at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz
  • Studied Computer Technology
  • Worked 5 years as a computer technician (2005-2010)
  • While working full-time, I won 2 World Championships (05', 07') and a USDGC Title (08')
  • Retired in January 2010 to become full-time Disc Golfer

My True Passion...

  • Turned pro in 2000 at age 15
  • Played my first USDGC in 2001 (finished T-50, with Juliana Korver)
  • Became member of Team Discraft in 2002
  • First went on Tour in 2003 with Steve and Bamba Rico
  • Competed in 9 countries (Japan, Finland, Sweden, Holland, Canada, England, Australia, Taiwan, and USA)
  • Won first Pro World Championship in 2005
  • Was the first Discraft sponsored player to win USDGC in 2008
  • 31 Career PDGA Victories in the Open Division
  • Officially became a Full Time Touring Professional in 2010
  • Won the 2011 World Championships in my hometown of Santa Cruz
  • Became only the second player in history to have 3 World Championship titles in Open Men
